ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Amanda Bintz. I’m a writer from Upstate New York who now calls Philadelphia home.

I graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego with a double-major in English and creative writing and a concentration in journalism. I have more than a decade of writing and editing experience, including stints in writing tutoring, journalism, insurance, development and fundraising, immigration law, and graduate medical education.

I began writing creatively around the age of 8 and completed my first novel, “Wolf Warrior,” when I was in the fourth grade, an achievement I’ve been trying to top ever since. I am drawn to stories about women and feminism, environmentalism and nature, folklore, legends, history, and magic. My work has been published in several literary magazines, including Luna Station Quarterly, BarBar Literary Magazine, Rathalla Review, Talk Vomit, and orangepeel literary magazine. I am currently working on a couple of novels, including a children’s/young adult speculative fiction story and a historical fiction/fantasy account of the life of Alexander the Great’s half-sister, Thessalonike.

Currently, the best way to keep up with all my writing endeavors is to follow my Instagram, but you can also subscribe below to get on the list for future updates. Thanks for stopping by.
